I've purchased two iPhones in the past from Orchard. But this was my first time selling through their service. It could not have been easier. They sent me all the shipping materials I needed, I sent them my phone and four weeks later (on the exact date they promised), the money was deposited into my bank account. Sure, I might have been able to get a slightly higher price by placing my own online ad, fielding offers and then meeting strangers in a parking lot for the handoff. But I would never buy a used phone from someone I didn't know, so why would I sell one that way?
Battery life on phone sucks. Not too impressed for what the phone cost. Wouldn't purchase here again.

Recently bought an Iphone 7 from Orchard, and the phone ships with a remote management lock on it. Can't get past the setup screen, can't use the phone, and it's under control from a company. Replacement shipped about a week later, working great.
Tip for consumers:
Expect inconvenience.
This is the third or fourth time I have used Orchard to get some money for my old phones. Their online sign up process is quick, easy and you know the "value" of your phone right away. They send you the prepaid box for your old phones, no concerns whatsoever. As in past, Orchard actually gave me more money for my old phone than originally expected as my phones were in better condition than expected. Money was transferred to me on time, via email Interac. Thank you (again) Orchard!
Just sold my 'old' phone to Orchard for the second time, and also for the second time, ended up receiving more money than had been quoted. Sure, I take care of my phones, but that doesn't take away from the level of honesty Orchard exhibits by paying out additional funds, when warranted. It's also a super easy process when selling a phone - they will provide all the materials as well as pay for the shipping. You really can't go wrong using their service.

Unfortunately quite a few big scratches for a good condition used iPad mini, otherwise physically good.
Everything else is fine or works yet the battery drains very fast and past 20% the iPad has a chance to just shut off.
Not super impressed.
Very happy with my like-new phone. The service, delivery, followup guidance was all exellent. My "new" device arrived on time, as described, works like a dream. I will definitely purchase another product from this company in the future and will also recommend to my friends. Thank you for such a great experience.
I purchase an unlocked iPhone 7 from them. They sent me a phone that never powered up. I call their customer service and they told me to return the device, which I did. I asked for a full refund, but they said to me that they could not until the phone could be power on to verify the serial number. They were already assuming that I returned another phone. Anyway, after few days, I turned out that the phone they sent me had water damage according to their technical repairman. So, they deducted 56.50$ on my refund for the repair. They had the guts to charge me for the repairs. This is robbery.
In resume, they sent me a broken phone and made me pay for the repairs. This is ridiculous. Don't deal with this company as they say something but do another. Go somewhere else to buy a secondhand iPhone.

I purchased a Iphone for my Mother in law, and it stopped working, when we took it to the Apple store they said it was previously bent, when I emailed Orchard, they said where it was 3 months old, and I did not buy extra warranty, I would have to buy another! Why would there tech's not pick up on this, and then not to help with it? Never again
I've purchased multiple phones from orchard and have had no issues with any of them ever. Love the fact I'm getting a decent second hand phone that'll do what it states. Everyone needs to remember, you are buying a used product and as such issues may arise.
Cheers

Initially, I was sceptical, however, I decided to give it a go. My 4.5 year old iPhone SE was initially given what I though was a decent price, however, I was surprised that they tested it and concluded that it was worth more - Nice! It was easy to sign up, get the envelope, mail it (free, no accessories needed) and then wait for the 4 week selling period. I got a notice that my money was ready via e-transfer and completed the transaction. I highly recommend using Orchard if you have an old phone you want to get rid of... Could not be simpler!

Purchased an iPhone 12 mini and selected the offer to purchase a screen protector and the "free" service to apply to phone prior to shipping. Received an email saying "sorry for the inconvenience" but, we don't have any screen protectors and you "should" see a refund in 5-10 business days.
Here's a thought... don't sell a product you don't have and if you really want to make the customer happy, send a team member out to go buy one an apply it quickly and update your website to stop this from occurring.
I haven't even received the phone yet but, I am less than satisfied or impressed with --The Orchard Team.
I highly recommend selling your phone through Orchard. They have wonderful customer service to guide you the whole process for a pleasant selling experience. Very prompt payment as well. Thanks Orchard!
This review is only for the support given to an iphone bought from Orchard, did not get any response from orchard regarding an issue with an iphone i bought from them. No response at all. I would not recommend buying from this company as they do not giive any support issues.
I believe this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've used Orchard to sell my phones. I do my research and I check out other Canadian companies to see who offers the best prices, and it is always Orchard that gives you the best value for your phone! You do have to wait 4 weeks to get the most $$ for your phone, but don't let that scare you! At the end of the 4-week waiting period (which is where your phone is listed for 4 weeks) you receive an e-transfer right away. I got $241 for my iPhone 8 that was in excellent condition. I always love using Orchard they are super prompt, organized, and professional. Highly recommend!
The phone only lasted a year. Would not recommend going here. Far too expensive for what you're getting.

I bought 2 I Phones from Orchard. The I Phone 7 started to act up after the ios 14.4 update. I had no service on cellular network part. I tried many different ways to sort this out without success. When I looked up the problem I found that the model I purchased for myself had an issue with the cellular part of the phone. It is a hardware problem with a defect in the circuit board. When I called Orchard about this they said sorry but your out of warranty and we will give you a credit of 100.00 toward a new phone if you return the old one. If this is a known defect why would they sell it to me in the first place. $322 for 5 months use of cell phone is a bit expensive.

Be very carful and dont just look at the price like I did.

Currently own a galaxy S10 but haven't been impressed with Android auto for the past couple months so I decided to buy a cheap iPhone for the use of apple carplay. Decided to use Orchard as their prices were about the same as local Craigslist prices but without the hassle of going out and meeting a stranger to buy a phone. Ended up getting an iPhone 7 for $220. Took about a week to get the phone and have been totally impressed with the whole process. The phone arrived in exactly the same condition as advertised. The battery health is at 99%, that in itself is pretty remarkable for an older iPhone. I have zero complaints and will recommend this company to all my friends and family.
Orchard is a fantastic and honest company. I had a number of phones that needed to be sold - they were just collecting dust - but I was worried about selling them myself and being responsible for them if they didn't work. Orchard took care of me! They were very straight forward and open about how much my phones were worth and why, and when it came time for payment, the money was eTransferred right on time! I am also particularly thankful to Orchard, as they helped me get a little extra cash when I needed it because of the COVID19 pandemic. So amazing!
Orchard is a big NO-NO if you are a PROFESSIONAL of any sort, and require a reliable device. Two devices I purchased had been Frankensteined together from spare parts, rather hopefully, but more to the point rather inexpertly, as it happened twice. I work hard for my clients and I expect to receive at least a bare minimum of service when I'm in a market. Orchard's customer service is what you'd expect from an unmanaged team. I found the staff simultaneously introverted and irritated having to deal with a live person. Doubly so when I started asking questions about the phone I was interested in. DON'T bring your elderly mother, they won't offer her a seat, and they may sulk and sigh at you (as they did at me), apparently for bringing an alien being into such a hip establishment. This company put me off both alternate cell phone markets and collaborative work spaces. They had every opportunity to deal professionally, plenty of motive to do so, but the joint just comes off as another "I'm hanging out in my friend's basement" sort of operation.
I was apprehensive ordering a phone I didn't have a chance to pick up in a store.
Ordered once then canceled - but I changed my mind and I am so glad I did. My phone arrived as if it was coming from Apple directly.
During Covid i expected my phone to be delayed. It arrived exactly 1 business day later. Totally impressed! And the phone zero regrets. So happy I found this company. Thank you!
These guys are legit.
I've bought several iPhones through them and you can't beat the price and fast shipping.
Also they sell your phone for you. All you have to do is to send the phone and wait for it to be sold. They are honest. My phone was lightly used in my opinion but they changed it to like new giving me more money.
Thumbs up!

This is the SECOND negative experience I've had with Orchard. I purchased an iPhone 8 in like new condition. Within a few weeks, the sound quality became muffled to the point that I can't have a basic conversation on my $1000 phone. Despite having purchased an extended warranty, Orchard is unable to help me because they're not able to work on the iPhone 8. Not sure why they would sell a phone they're not capable of covering. Do not buy from them unless you're ready to pay for your repairs out of pocket.
Using orchard was extremely easy. I was informed of the status of my sale throughout the process and received a fair value for the phone. I would highly recommend it.

Purchased a phone. Let them know it wasn't charging - their solution was to unfold a paperclip and clean out the charging port myself. The website boasts that they have an quality inspection process and the phone they sent clearly did not go through this process. This company will not proactively refund or exchange the phone. Terrible customer service. I originally gave this company 5 stars and after 30 days this company is not trustworthy. I trust craigslist and kijiji for buying phones rather then these crooks
For iPhones, there is a setting menu where you can compare the current battery capacity to when it was new. Not sure how much we can trust Apple with this setting, but it is there. The "Very Good" conditioned iPhone was at 84% battery capacity when purchased.
Hi Uli, That's a great question! We've made some changes to our service that directly impacts the sale of your phone. Here's what you need to know: As of June 2017, Orchard is no longer going to be buying or selling phones in the US. Instead, Orchard will continue to run our Canadian marketplace while also focusing our efforts on new and existing partnerships. All our prices are in Canadian dollars and we offer free shipping anywhere in Canada! =)
I don't know if Orchard can help you. If you want help from them, you should contact them directly. Make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple iCare. Even if it's well out of warranty they'll run some diagnostics to check things (you may want to back everything up before you call). You can also do a factory reset (but back everything up first!).
30 days from the quote you received when you register. You will receive you money and the end of the selling window that you choose.

Orchard is a service that buys and sells high-quality used iPhones.
Orchard was founded by three friends who thought that buying and selling used iPhones on Craigslist and Kijiji was too much of a hassle and too dangerous. We work hard every day to bring their customers incredible products that make their lives easier. We also pride ourselves on our customer service, as well as how accessible we are to prospective customers. Got a question about Orchard? Shoot us an email at info@getorchard - we'd be happy to clarify anything about our service.
