“I gave it a shot! I feel powerful now.”

Well I just joined and made my first purchase. I couldn't help but buy these shoes, it was love at first sight. I'm so excited they shipped today. Just look at them and tell me they don't look awesome! Ok enough showing off. I had watched many videos and read bad and good reviews after I made my purchase so I'm a bit weary they may not be perfect but hey its not a bad way to clean out your closet and just like Ebay make sure the seller is legit!

“No refund from Poshmark”

I had problems with Poshmark. I bought two cardigans, and both was too small. Both cardigans looked different from what the sellers showed on pictures. One was deformed from washing, another is badly worn. The Poshmark administration refused to give mea refund. They don't have any buyer protection. If you bay a bad thing or small for you, Poshmark will not return your money. I will never buy anything from Poshmark again. Why should I pay for something that did not fit me and even an old worn one?!

I've had very mixed feelings with purchases from Poshmark. A few successes and lots of fails. Items are often misrepresented in terms of condition or issues/damage. Poshmark takes a hefty cut, so you have to take that into consideration when selling through them. Customer service is often not helpful or willing to look at issues on a case by case basis and reverts to their limiting policies when items are not as described or are misrepresented. I think I've finally wasted enough time and money with them.

Purchased 7 Jan, item was never received by USPS. I tried to cancel after the 10 day period there is no option on the screen. Poshmark made excuses then went as far as apologizing on behalf of USPS I was promised a refund, never received that either. It's been 20 days. Now they are ignoring me and will not respond to my emails. No refund BUYER BEWARE. I have filed a complaint with BBB

Tip for consumers:
Don’t shop there! Save your money because your just throwing it out the window with this Company

Abysmal customer service. Dishonest and rude. Sold me some scarves listed as silk but were polyester. They refused to cancel or accept a return despite being sold under a blatant lie. When I filed a complaint, they deleted my account with several orders still actively processing. Unbelievable. Zero accountability. The absolute worst. Wish I could leave zero stars. DO NOT TRUST THEM

I ordered a purse and it did not come based on what the picture showed. It was misrepresented. That's a dishonest sales tactic. I ask to return but they would not allow me to return after sending a pic showing what the product should have looked like. It was missing the emblem when I received purse. Do not purchase from this site. They do not stand behind their guarantee for return if product is misrepresented. When received purse was missing emblem as shown in pic by seller.

I'll start with the positives, poshmark is a huge plate form for country wide users. They have a large amount of traffic so the chances of selling your stuff it likely!

However, their rates are extremely high! They take 20% pre sale plus for some unknown reason you have to pay taxes on the poshmark fee. I'm selling used items/clothes and as the seller paying poshmark taxes...? This is not a business, if it were I'd have my own "business" website to sell. I've tried looking online for a reasonable explanation for these tax fees and there isn't.

Tip for consumers:
Would only recommend to buy and not sell since the rates are so high, best to sell locally. Also in some cases it’s best to purchase from the retailer directly, some sellers seem to think since it’s not sold anymore, new with tag, item went on market x amount of years ago, they can sell for more and call it “rare”, there is no deal in that. Not to mention most retail stores have free shipping and these over priced sellers on poshmark charge shipping. You might as well shop at the retail store.

Terrible customer service. Sold an item and the buyer damaged I had proof from pictures the day before I shipped it but the buyer said it was damaged! So even though I provided pictures that the item was in pristine brand new condition they still returned me the item broken and gave the buyer the money back! Such scammers never doing business with them they only want to take the money, in top of that charge 20% of each sale for doing absolutely nothing. Worse company hope the go out of business soon

I would give them a 0. I purchased a Brahmin purse on Poshmark and it came in defective condition. Despite the 25+ photos I provided documenting the condition, they sided with the seller. There were SO many problems with this product. Anyone could see that it was a second quality item. This was the first and last transaction for Poshmark. They will NOT be getting my business again!

Tip for consumers:
Do NOT purchase through Poshmark!

I had over 1,000 listings with 30,000 followers, 5 star ratings. My account was restricted by Poshmark due to "behaviour" - aka me letting know other buyers that certain accounts were luxury counterfeits. I hate seeing innocent people get ripped off by fake accounts for their hard earned money. These items support child labor and undermines legitimate sellers. Posh even picked a fake item as a "Host Pick" in one of their parties. Would rather have people be ripped off for their profits than protect the buyers and other sellers.

Tip for consumers:
Trust the reviews!! I read them all before signing up and didn't listen to my gut and now here I am writing a full crappy review like the ones I read a year ago!!

Very disappointed. Purchased a very expensive coat that referenced via actual photos a very different coat from the same brand... I was told by Poshmark that, "I should have asked the seller more questions". I'm the buyer. What about seller mis-representation? Feel sick to my stomach about this. Not at all like ebay- who jumps to make sure all sales are kosher. After reading some to the reviews here, seems I'm not alone. Horrific experience.

Tip for consumers:
When buying, make sure that you are POSITIVE that you want the product. There are no return standards- at all/you will have no recourse in cases of product misrepresentation.

"WEAR" can you start. Yep; I received a completely worn (in the sole) pair of purportedly new Nike sneakers. Should have known better; but it does get better. The Poshmark "crew" informed me that my photo depicting this debacle was not conclusive evidence. Thus; best of luck in the future. Well; the same to you at Poshmark and the "seller/thief" by the name of "@premierfinds"...

I was not 100% satisfied with a purchase and Poshmark refused to refund-I created a case thru Paypal and now I'm blocked frm buying.

Worst business model! Waste of time when you get something that is misrepresented in pics! No response from customer service other than an automated message! Such a disappointment!

Terrible customer service. At least they responded to my email, but I purchased a winter coat, a not so affordable one, and it didn't fit the way I liked. I would have continued to shop for the right one, but they wouldn't accept my return. Also, I bought a pair of "designer" sunglasses a while back and they were FAKE, didn't fit my head right, and broke after a few wears. NEVER AGAIN

Tip for consumers:
Stay AWAY - Don't shop here. Save yourself some stress!

I don't like writing bad reviews but I think you should be warned. I purchased a sweater for almost 300.00 and it was in AWFUL and OLD condition. They would not honor a refund and frankly seemed to not care at all that the seller was harassing me. Please try one of the other MANY resale sites.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT purchase anything over 25.00 or so. May be low quality and poshmark does not issue refunds or not in my experience

Yes my account name is Vee Lopez posh can look me up totally unfair for the seller now I'm out of my designer shades and the buyer gets a refund and keeps the shades! Terrible service and there's no way to contact Posh unless is through email which gets sent back undelivered!

On January 10, I ordered a small blooming plant that was needed by a certain day. According to the Poshmark website, this order was supposed to be delivered in three days. After my request three days later, Poshmark responded that the order is delayed "due to Holidays" (?). Ten days later, Poshmark advised that the order was cancelled due to a damage of the plant, and my money will be returned to my credit card within three weeks. This is a fraud!

Seller's sell misrepresent damaged items & Poshmark stands behind the sellers & tell you just repose it. Sure now you sell the damaged item. They totally suck. Purchased Kendra Scott earrings & the both stones were cracked & fogged at bottom. Not describe or pictured this way at all. I sent them 4 pictures & they still refused to return. Buyer beware. Go anywhere else. Closed my account.

Tip for consumers:
Beware. Sellers will sell damaged items and Poshmark stands behind them. They won’t even let you post a review about the bad sellers.

I've bought a couple things now from Poshmark and I won't shop on the site again. You simply cannot get a resolution when you purchase something, and it goes wrong. I purchased a candle, and it came with broken glass everywhere. I purchased a necklace, was charged 2 times for it, can't get ahold of the seller and still fighting for a refund on one charge. It's over the top horrible.

Most of my purchases, I had no issues, but one dress didn't fit (made for a woman with no bust). How would I possibly have known in advance that a dress wouldn't fit in the bust?!? The seller pretty much waived me off - literally told me, "…you must be disappointed…good luck." I had never requested a refund from Poshmark. I contacted Poshmark "customer service" - their (lack of a) solution - no refund - they told me to re-sell it on my own?! This is NOT customer service!

Tip for consumers:
I would really think twice before trusting a purchase here, as you risk losing your money!

I have two seemingly lost packages. I paid full price for 2 day shipping, and it's now been over two weeks with no tracking information. Each time I contact the site, they give me the runaround. They are essentially holding my money hostage, as well as the seller's. The response from Posh has been slow, and each time they tell me to wait until a certain date. At this point, because the items have been shipped, there is no option to cancel. Horrible customer service!

I ordered an item 10 days ago, have received NUMEROUS e-mails about this or that, but nothing pertaining to my order - Finally went to website and although sellers "usually ship within 3-5 days" yada yada and covid yada yada - they will allow me to cancel the order if not shipped in 10 days. Oh how generous - Really?!? If I had known their policy was so seller slanted, I'd have never wasted my time! I can't wait to cancel and unsubscribe!

I bought a used Daniel Cremieux belt that typically goes for around $100 new, for $34. It had that nice looking twisted leather. After one wear in house, it falls apart. The twisted leather provides less strength than a single piece of leather. It can unravel. The seller had pushed it together for photos, but must have known it was about to fall apart. Poshies said I "damaged" it, and thus no refund. Classless, illogical, unprofessional. Done with you twisted Evil Poshies.

Do not expect returns if your goods arrive broken or damaged.

If a seller can't give you the brand name of an item it is generally cheap Chinese stuff. Sellers can buy these items from Poshmark wholesale site or Chinese sites. No brand names, in my case a sweater with no tags whatsoever. I received a sweater probably purchased for $1.99 and resold at $50. It went in the trash. Sometimes they're listed as "boutique" items. No brand name means literally junk no matter how good the picture looks.

Buyer Beware: Poshmark does not stop sales of counterfeit products; no recourse for buyers! I ordered a set of two pillowcases listed as 100% silk and was hugely disappointed when the package arrived – on opening it, it was clear that the material used to make the pillowcases was not 100% silk, but instead cheesy acetate/polyester fabric. I immediately reached out to Poshmark, but they ruled in favor of the seller, even though I sent plenty of data showing that the items were counterfeit. This apparently happens A LOT in looking at other folks' reviews.

Tip for consumers:
Be aware that there are counterfeit products being sold on Poshmark and, unfortunately, Poshmark usually gives preference to the seller at the cost of alienating the buyer.

Products used:
Have purchased many products from Poshmark and typically have had a good experience, but their policies regarding returns of counterfeit products make it a treacherous place to shop.

Q&A (241)

Answer:

You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!

I mean why do you care about a picture? The shoes are no longer in your possession and you got the money that you sold them for why does it matter what price they put them up for? Then you gotta think they have seller fees so they would have to price them at $70 just to get the $50 back that they paid for them. Stop being petty smh

It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!

Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like $#*!? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
